A Bit About Wendy
Wendy Hughes has provided financial consulting services to clients on a contractual basis since 2016 while concurrently serving in senior leadership capacities at nonprofit organizations in Georgia and Florida. With a career spanning over 20 years in executive financial leadership roles across diverse sectors including healthcare, social services, financial consulting, insurance, restaurant, and manufacturing, Ms. Hughes has most recently served as Chief Financial Officer for medium to large nonprofits with revenues ranging from $20 million to $100 million. Her responsibilities have encompassed oversight of financial and accounting operations, budgeting, financial reporting, and strategic financial management.
Ms. Hughes brings extensive expertise in developing and implementing business innovation strategies, managing ERP implementations, leading business improvement initiatives, facilitating change management, and managing large state and federal grants. She is experienced with using Abila MIP Fund Accounting, QuickBooks, NetSuite, as well as others. She is also well versed in use and implementation of payroll services such as Paylocity, ADP, and Paychex. Wendy also brings extensive experience working in the behavioral health field working with electronic medical records such as CareLogic by Qualifacts.

Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Business Administration with double majors in Accounting and Human Resource Management from Georgia State University and a Master of Business Administration focused on Healthcare Administration from Valdosta State University. She earned her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation in Georgia in 2002 and became licensed as a CPA in Florida in 2017.
