A Bit About Wendy
Wendy Hughes started the financial consulting practice, WL Hughes Consulting, LLC in 2016, and she has continued to serve clients on a contractual basis while serving in other primary financial executive roles. She has served as Chief Financial Officer for medium to large organizations ranging from $20M to $130M in revenue where she has provided oversight for financial and accounting services, budgeting, financial reporting, etc.
During her career, Ms. Hughes has worked for various public and private sector organizations in executive financial leadership positions across healthcare and social service sectors, financial consulting, insurance, restaurant, and manufacturing sectors. Her extensive and diverse financial leadership experience includes developing and implementing business innovation strategies, ERP implementations, business improvement and change management, and mergers and acquisitions.
Ms. Hughes’ qualifications and professional accreditations include a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with double majors in Accounting and Human Resource Management from Georgia State University and Master of Business Administration degree from Valdosta State University focused in Healthcare Administration. She became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Georgia in 2002 and became licensed as a CPA in Florida in 2017.
Her passion is to provide expert business management services to smaller agencies and newer professionals to advance their effectiveness and efficiencies in moving forward their missions.
